Helping Those Most In Need

In 2014, Alex Acheampong was blessed with a baby girl born at just 24 weeks. Medically, her chances of survival were slim. Doctors warned of severe health complications if she lived. She spent 100 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), but by God's grace, she survived—without any complications. Today, she is a thriving, healthy, and adorable young girl. Her survival was made possible, in part, by the advanced medical facilities available for preterm babies in the UK.

Sadly, in Ghana, many babies born even as late as 36 weeks do not survive due to a lack of adequate medical care. As a father who has experienced the challenges of having a premature baby, Alex was deeply moved by the heartbreaking reality that so many preterm infants in Ghana lose their lives simply because they lack access to the necessary medical resources.

In addition to his personal experience with prematurity, Alex also understands the struggles of poverty. Having lost his father at a young age, he grew up in a household where affording a decent three-course meal was often a challenge. His mother, now a widow, faced immense hardships while raising her children. These experiences shaped his passion for supporting those in need.

Aim

To bring hope and lasting change to vulnerable communities by improving neonatal healthcare and providing essential food and relief support to individuals and families in need.

Mission

Our mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable individuals and families through:

Advancing Healthcare for Premature Babies by equipping hospitals in Ghana with essential neonatal medical equipment to help reduce infant mortality.

Alleviating Poverty by providing food and basic necessities through our food bank initiative to support those struggling to make ends meet.
